Out and about in a Mercedes-Benz 300:

Amazing car and in my eye a better option than a period (50s) Bentley and Rolls Royce offering.

Built like a tank but surprisingly sporty. Effortless 90 mph cruising and vast leg room!

Glorious details and basically the 300 SL engine!

Impressive, I don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh. In the last photo it actually looks a little bit like the S series Bentley and RR Silver Cloud....!

Those Adenauer's are fab......as well built, if not better, as a similar period Rolls, with much better engineering.

The two door 300C and 300S are just fabulous, and this glorious 300C was in the Revival car park back in 2012.......and drawing something of a crowd, not surprisingly.

This month's Mercedes Enthusiast boasts a repo about a Dutch 57-piece Benz collection.

The original article has photo's by my mate Casper. I only post my own stuff here.

An abundance of Benz. And there's more to come: every issue an article from my hand.

The bigger the Mercedes the better they are, puts my SL in the shade.

Any of the cars on any of these photos, even in the background, would be an absolute pleasure to own. Love them. Thanks for sharing.

Audenauer love here. IMO better than any period Royce.

Tomorrow I'm off to that fantastic 57-piece Benz collection as featured in the latest Mercedes Enthusiast issue.

Rolls Royce killer W116 450 SEL 6.9

W123 love here. You gotta like a pillarless coupe.

I gotta drive both the 6.9 and the W123 this wednesday. Should be a good day out.

My Father had a 450 SEL, not the 6.9 but it was one hell of a car.
Fond memories as it saved our lives!

I would quite happily have an entire Merc only collection like that if I had the cash!

Love the 6.9. Spotted this near me the other day with the period velour upholstery - none of that nouveau riche leather nonsense! These things were amazing - lsd, dry sumped, hydro-pneumatic suspension. Quicker than a Ferrari 308 and cost the price of Jag XJ 5.3 V12 more than the standard 450 SEL!!

I drove a 1972 w115 220d yesterday similar to your car. Very dark green, 60 brake, 4-speed, my gawd what a gem. Only 60k kms and felt like new.

Please share the sory with us wink

The 6.9 can be quick. But gentleman will walk and never run. It's so much nicer to drive than a period Rolls. Amazing place to be in.

Serious W111 love here. Tempo is more important than speed. This will get you there right? Glorious.

I drove a 1972 W115 220D last week; wow. And in full MB-Tex!

Standing on the inside built office roof there's only a partial view on the collection.
