Has anyone got a better solution ? The 20 year old plastic pins are turning brittle after all this time. Is there an alternative?

If you still have the plastic bonnet locking pins it’s worth getting these so much better than the plastic ones. I bought the bonnet stay of him as well and it is also so much better than the one that came with my Cerbera.

I think his name is Nev.... Worth searching for on the FB group as he makes a range of improvements for Cerb fittings. Also worth looking for Pete Essling as he does other bits!

These aluminium pins have got to be better then the nasty plastic ones. The guy who has them is LittleBlackCerby, he also does the extra length bonnet Rods which are slightly bigger in diameter so they don't bend like the originals. He has them for Chims too.

Pair arrived and bloody fantastic quality but unfortunately my rods have been altered and the thread is to small to fit these new ones. I’m gutted.

Thanks for posting that, Michael. Coz, talking about the rods, is there an alternative product for these ?
One of mine broke 12 years ago and the temporary measure I made, of putting a drill bit in as a splint, is still there ! yikes

Had a similar problem. On one side the rod was an M6, whereas the new shiny pin was an M8.
One of these solved it:

Resulting in a perfect fit:

Take a look on eBay, there are many male and female bolt size converters. For a couple of quid you can practically attach any male/female thread/bolt to another thread/bolt size.
