Another regular gentle request to consider adding in an option for a forum Dark Mode please.

Far more relaxing on tired eyes when required.

There is a reason more and more forums are adding it in as an option.

Thanks for reading.

Again. smile

PS For those running Desktop Opera . . . the extension Dark Mode Version 0.3.4 by dlinbernard works well for me.

Search has been broken since 2003 and pages scroll to the wrong place since 2014 - suspect the sun will go out before dark mode arrives.

Win 10 has a dark mode which works with Pistonheads, the 'favicon' in the favourites bar is a 'fail' tho' black icon on a black background :-)

Are you referring to Night Light as mentioned above. Night Light is horrible.
An optionable dropdown theme for a Dark Mode at the bottom of the screen would be great. Did we not used to have a choice of 2 or 3 themes?

People would still fashion an excuse to complain about it though lol.

That is horrible, but as mentioned I have an Opera Extension which works for me . . . except you have to more often than not switch it off as obviously many websites are not 100% compatible.

I can tolerate the normal theme, until later in the day or in the evening when this is preferable (note this for Opera browser on PC) . . . Even an Ipad Pro is yet to have a proper dark mode for browsers!

to this . . .

On android phones. Just enable the 'eye comfort shield' from the phones drop down menu. It takes alot of the blue light out of your screen . Gives it more of a yellow tint which is much easier to read at night. I assume most monitors these days can adjust for this setting.

I appreciate the need, but with the exception of a total rewrite of the forums there's no way we could code around layers of duct tape and polyfilla in the forum's CSS to introduce a dark mode.

Sounds like some investment is required!

There’s an extension for safari called noir. Its £2.50 but turns most websites to dark mode.
It works for PH.
