Trump - Nobel Peace Prize Nomination
Discussion
He didn't though it was Kushners work according to Kushner.
But we know Obama didn't deserve it either...which makes trump mad. Cohen said: "You know his hatred for Barack Obama is plain and simple. He's black, he went to Harvard Law, he graduated the top of his class, he's incredibly articulate, he's all the things that Donald Trump wants to be right. And he just can't handle it."
Still he's got his nomination, just before the election. That will please him and means his handlers are still pushing hard for him
Bit strange for a peace plan though when one side of it wasn't consulted?

Sorry but

Nomination was submitted by Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament. He was the same person who previously submitted a nomination for Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 for his Singapore summit which hosted Kim Jong Un.
Tybring-Gjedde told Fox News that he is nevertheless "not a big Trump supporter."
"The committee should look at the facts and judge him on the facts – not on the way he behaves sometimes," he continued. "The people who have received the Peace Prize in recent years have done much less than Donald Trump.
"For example, Barack Obama did nothing," he said to Fox News, referring to former US president Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize win in 2009 for, according to the Nobel Committee, his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."

Trump helped broker a peace deal between the UAE and Israel. Got better relations with North Korea. He didn't get the USA involved in any big wars. Obama was awarded it in 2009 before his presidency had got going. In other words Obama did the talk while Trump walked the walk.
Trump is an idiot but his qualification for the peace prize are better than Obamas. The US military was involved in more countries at the end of Obamas reign than the start.

The Norwegian Nobel Institute told The Jerusalem Post that there is no way of confirming the nomination "due to the 50 years confidentiality clause, neither the names of nominators nor of nominees may be divulged until 50 years have elapsed."
So we've one bloke, the same as before, saying that he's nominated trump. Humm...

According to Trump he averted WW3.
In the same way I had my “life saved” many times as a teenager by people walking up behind me, pushing me forward and grabbing my coat at the same time and shouting “saved you life”.Probably outlived Kim...

As said - same bloke said he has - but not confirmed...
Well deserved, including his efforts to enable dialogue with North Korea. Those sniggering are likely only doing so because they've been brainwashed by certain media outlets and their selective reporting and film clips. For a better idea (for example), watch full clips of his press conferences on Covid, rather than carefully edited highlights with journalists putting on fake concerned serious voices.
The Nobel peace prize used to do what it said on the tin. It gave an award to those who have done most to promote peace.
In the past it has been won by such cuddly liberal icons as Kissinger.
Whether Trump has done enough to warrant such an award is questionable. On any objective assessment though he is more peaceable than his two predecessors.
Given today's world though it will probably be won by Greta
