Given that most people find Bmw alloys are prone to warping and cracking has anyone found a good quality make of wheel to replace? And also an effective wheel cleaner as ive tried many without great success.

Best alloy wheel cleaner I've found is Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel.

Don't run runflat tyres; that's the best place to start

As for wheel cleaners; depends on how bad your wheels are, but agree as above; the Bilt Hamber stuff for me is superb, unlike their snowfoam in my opinion.

Autoglym Magma is very good though too

Key for wheels to keep them clean is to take them off, thoroughly clean them inside out out, dry them thoroughly and then wax and polish them a few times. A few good coats of a decent hard wax will help you to keep them cleaner for longer and when you do wash them, just normal water and a car shampoo will do the trick wink

Works wonders for the LMs on my touring and they're a sod to clean as they're a 'busy' alloy

Another vote for Bilt Hamber here - best I've used.

This was a "before" after a high speed autobahn trip. No wheel cleaner worked, and I was told I'd have to get them refurbed (again).

Lots of applications of Bilt Hamber Korrosol and then their wheel cleaner.

Almost there:

That'll do!

Nice CH's wink

The Bilt Amber stuff is good; the Autoglym Magma works just as good IMO, but smaller bottles. Typical AG!
