Ok so I am in a confused state! I saw a Audi A5 2018 2.0tdi Quattro and Audi A7 BiTdi 2015. Love the A5 with its tech pack but the A7 seems like a serious beast! Can't make up my mind about what one! Which one you guys think you will pick if had the choice ?

If it were me, I'd go for the A5. It's a much newer car, smaller, easier to park and less likely to go wrong (or if it does, it'll be covered under warranty). Also more economical too. Look for a well-specced one, most will be end of lease jobbies. The A7 will be quicker and better specced as standard, but the infotainment and goodies will all be a generation or so out of date (it does make a fair difference). The A7 also looks a bit funny at the rear (my opinion!) and will be more of a barge in the corners offsetting it's faster acceleration. They will both be similar in terms of comfort on a long run (as long as you get decently specced seats on the A5)

Don't drive the A7 first as it a good couple of levels above the A4 & that's before you take the engine into account, if you go for a non BiTDI 3.0d you can get a nicely spec'd one that'll sit you somewhere in the middle:

If you're going for an A7 with the 3.0-litre diesel, I'd recommend going for the 3.0BiTDI. It uses the same eight-speed torque-converter auto as the SQ5. The lesser 3.0TDI models use an S-Tronic dual-clutch system which struggles with the torque of the V6 diesel.

I was aiming for the a7 bitdi which is about 325bhp compared to the a5 2.0 or 3.0 v6. Haven't driven one yet just figuring out which is best to have.
