More details/pics on the Golf please!
No worries, It's originally a mk2 8v big bumper run out model. I bought it from a close friend whose older brother had owned it previously for £400 10 years ago, It was basically a wreck. I then completely restored it. full glass out respray, with all nos parts bumpers, grill, lights, g60 arches, U.S spec rear lights. engine and underside resto was professionally done by Psi Tuning, engine wise it's a mk4 R32 lump from a written off Spainish 2003 car that had only 11k miles on it's still under 13k on the motor as it's been used on the odd summer days over the last 10 years, done a few meets and retro rides show in it last year. wheels are genuine 4x100 bmw e30 fitment bbs rs 16" width 8.5 front and 9.5 rear.I managed to get full original red stripe recaro interior sourced from 1989 golf gti in mint condition. I've also got spare material to do both front seats again if needed (very very rare) as it's no longer available. all running gear was powder coated and all bolts plated, stainless catches and door pins. It would be near impossible to build this car now as a lot of nos parts are nla. 2 sMoKiN bArReLs said:
Nice collection. Loving the plates too!
Yeah I like the plates how they all match, Blame my Dad he started it all off years before I could even drive having them on his cars. he's got another five plates ending with BLA and my brother has got a couple on his cars too. The worst is my Dad won't let me have his for my Evo IX it would look so good! I'd report him to social services but I'm 38 years old!

Think I spotted a piece of dust on it though

Lovely collection OP.
I've got it covered!Living in a small country village with the recent harvest it now looks like a 20 year storage barn find that has been sitting in a dust storm. I must get it out and wash it.
I must say your cars are a credit to you.

What a collection! Tell us more about the audis!!
Cheers, I bought my Rs6 8 years ago, It is one of my dream car's, I sat in a new one at the GTI Treffen in Worthersee Austria, it's basically the largest vw show in the world thats held every year going back to the 80's, Audi have a stand there and showcase new models and concept cars every year. we used to drive over in our 20's and basically spend a week drinking and talking cars they were great lads holidays. And after sitting in a brand new C6 Rs6 on the Audi stand I said to my mates "yep, I gotta get me one of these!" so about 4 years later I picked up my C6 from Lambourghini Reading where it'd been part ex'd in. it was on the forecourt between a lime green gallardo and bright orange aventador the day I got it. I said to the salesman I'm not interested in either of those I'm here for the Rs6. it was on 48k then and it's only on 55k now I had the frontend professionally resprayed back to as new, I machine polished it back to perfect finish, had the silver optics blacked out, fitted mtm bimotos 21x10.5 that are specifically designed for the C6 the offset is perfect and fitted milltek exhaust, tinted the glass, and fitted the kw adjustable spring kit which allows me to retain the drc function, It's got hi flow air filter too, but it's not been mapped, never really needed more power really but, If I hadn't bought my Evo IX the Rs6 would of definitely been to Mrc tuning by now for at least stage 2 tune most probably more as it's used so little It would be feasible to run big turbos and go for 1000bhp. One day I'll do it, at least that's what I keep telling myself.
As far as the S5 go's thats a different story, It was originally my girlfriends car, she part ex'd her gtd mk7 golf in for it as her job circumstances changed and she didn't need the motorway mile muncher that the gtd was, I really liked that car. But we are expecting our first child in a few months and my girlfriend made the decision to sell the car as it's highly impractical as a family car. But unfortunately for myself I'd grown quite attached to the car and kept saying it's too good to sell (over and over in my head) so made the offer to buy it from her. I love the look of the S5 it's such a nice design, oddly it's actually designed by the same guy who designed the C6 Audi A6 so the man must of struck a chord with me personally at least. All that said, it's kind of a jack of all trades it's completely standard apart from H&R springs fitted because the OEM rears tend to break on the convertibles due to the extra weight of the roof mechanism this one had already had one spring replaced and another cracked in our ownership so was a rational move to upgrade them really. plus side is the car sits slightly lower and looks much nicer for it. Again I can see a trip to Mrc tuning in the future for the S5 also as both the engine in the S5 and the Rs6 are massively under tuned from factory, and a basic stage 2 tune including supporting mods should see great gains in power and torque.

My SL has been sitting in my garage since March and was spotless when I put it in there.

My Dad has two SL's and my brother has one two all different generations too so know them well, they are great cars for getting around in! the S5 is a bone shaker in comparison to the ride in any of the SL's. My Dad lives in a small rural village too and his garage is slap bang next to a farmers field that would get regular cropping from the combine, The dust it creates is horrendous.
I can wholeheartedly recommend a drive in indoor car cover like my cair-o-port or the alternative newer carcoon veloce system. you would be amazed at their ability to keep a car as you choose to leave them for several months at a time. People think I'm crazy but If I'm spending upwards of 20 hours on a detail and these systems sustain my hard work it's a no brainer for me.;)
