Just bought one today 61 plate
Do you manually push the door mirrors in or do they close automatically some how ?

Probably not.

Your service book will have a range of codes (looking like, for example 6XE) and this will list exactly the options fitted to the car. The list will also be stickered in the car somewhere, I forget where exactly in the 8P model A3.

The Technik specification was based on the SE and did not come with folding power mirrors as standard. Options are often added to A3s, but the Technik specs were often ordered as fleet / company cars, so less likely to be loaded with optional spec.

Surely it would have been easier to check on the mirror knob inside the car and seeing whether it has folding mirrors there? If it doesn’t then yeah you can manually push them in.
