Hello all. As title, I've left my BMW sitting for around 9 months unattended.
Went to fire up . She fired up immediately but sounds like the engine had developed some noise. Sounds like tappets. Sounds like a click click noise . Doesn't go away even if revved up. I hope I haven't caused any damage . Opinions please if you have the same vehicle.

Sounds just like this.

Haven't driven it yet. Oil level is ok. Again was 100 percent fine until I left it sitting for a long period.

Mine does the same, from time to time. I found this stuff works takes about 50 miles to sort it at it lasts to next oil change.

HVAs will be a little empty. Drive it and they’ll refill.

Yes. Will drive it and give it an oil change. Car has done 107,000 miles. I also have always used 5w40 synthetic oil. Might try 10.
