Covid and Isolating

So... The brother of the kid my daughter sits next to as school has been sent home with a cough and temperature. If it turns out he has covid does that mean as a family we will have to isolate ?

Most unlikely assuming the unwell child is in a different class, though a risk assessment should be done as part of a school response to a positive case of Covid. If different class and bubble there should be no reason for the contact of a contact of a case to have to self isolate.
