Just acquired and wondering can the fixed buckets be raised? I’m 5’9 and would like to be an inch plus higher. Sorry if it’s been covered before.

You can either install a pad under the seat cushion to lift you or you can put spacers under the mount points. Most people seem to focus on adjusting the tilt with spacers rather than the actual height:

Are the above for the 991 / 981 buckets not for 997 seats?

Not seen anything for the 997 seats but some one must do a different side bracket I’d try

My understanding was that fixed buckets (as opposed to the folding ones) have a height adjustment, albeit using screwdrivers. Is yours already in the top position?

I did notice extra holes that would raise it maybe a centimeter; which I will try first assuming it’s a simple-ish job.

I've got carbon folding buckets in my 997. Sit really low but part of the experience for me.

Being slightly too short is definitely a better and more fixable problem than being too tall. I don't really fit in 996/7's with a crash helmet on the comfort seats.

I think raising the seats is definitely doable and not difficult to achieve.

One thing I do find with the fixed-back carbon bucket on my 997 GT3 is that the seatbelt mechanism sits really high - almost under your bottom rib if you reach across the car - and is a bit annoying.

Another option are these kits from the US. Full base with slider and multiple options for height and rake. Been looking at these for some time as I have the carbon buckets in my 997 GT3 and would like to tilt them back some more. Would love to have the folding buckets as it would help with access to the rear for storage and....the dog..

I've got a spare set of folding buckets, half alcantara, I may be persuaded to part with if interested?
