Hi, Im thinking of changing to a Cerb but having had an utterly reliable Chimaera I'm worried about all the unreliability stories that come up when Cerbs are mentioned.
What, in a nut shell, are the main problems?
Is the engine unreliable or was it just a fault with early cars?
Any info of help to a prospective owner will be much appreciated

Cheers
Pete

Hello Pete,
Did a similar thing 4 months ago, Griff to Cerb so probably know how you're thinking.
When I decided to move up clutches were the hot topic and did concern me. So far apart from having the seals replaced on the master cylinder the Cerb has been trouble free for me. Although I dare say those with a few more miles of experiece under their belts will add things like starters and alternators as being things that can fail (among others).
It is a fantastic car and for me in different league to the Griff, although from time to time I do miss it a bit.
Good luck
David
