As a lover/addict of all things Marmite flavoured, you can perhaps imagine my delight at finding Marmite houmous in the local Tesco on Saturday. Needless to say, it didn’t last long. I’ll be going back tomorrow to buy some more.
Have you ever thought that it might just be possible to stir a bit of errr marmite in to some errrr . . . Tesco houmous ?

Hmm, as someone who only eats marmite once or twice a year (cook with it more often though), I'll probably sit this one out. The OH bought me a jar of the peanut butter and it just doesn't work; it simply isn't balanced and the flavours don't work together.
My OH just returned from the UK and brought me a jar of the peanut butter as well. Keen to see what it's like on my toast tomorrow.Rich_AR said:

I've this 3 times in August, the first two pots were great, real thick (turn it upside and will not fall straight away). the third pot was runny, I don't know if it was a bad batch or that it was not kept refrigerated from production to the shop floor.
The only place that I've seen it sold is Tesco's and currently sold for £1 instead of £1.58 at my local store.
The Marmite peanut butter was very addictive, I purchased the smooth version and it definitely has that umami pull.
FYI - Marmite also do cottage cheese which I seen sold in M&S.

I love the peanut butter! When I don't have it I regularly just put marmite and peanut butter separately.
Keen to try the hummus...
I'm not saying it is awful, but it isn't as good as either just marmite or just peanut butter.Keen to try the hummus...
Let me go and finger a scoop to remind myself...
...had to use a knife to stir it first as it had seperated.
The peanut dries out the marmite and the marmite overseasons the peanut.
A poorly constructed product.

The peanut butter is nice but far too weak - I had to add more.
Then again, as someone who generally only gets about 9 slices of toast out of a "25 serving" jar, I may possibly be over-spreading but I don't care.
