Me again.....Cayenne diesel?

Had same dilemma ended up with a 2014 cayenne 3.0 d
Great car actually but ive spent some cash on it. Last major service with brakes was 1300inc vat at a good indi. Needed 4 new tyres at same time too.
Missus bumped it that was 1500
They ain’t cheap to run !!!!

We bought the 3.0d version new in 2014 , still have it , it’s been a great car as others have said not to many mechanical problems just maintenance,(Which is not that cheap) saying that we did have a leak recently which gave us about an inch of water in the front foot wells , got it sorted now she’s as good as new , we use a local Porsche specialist much cheaper than main dealer prices and just as good a job ,

We had a Macan Diesel and it had the worst throttle response of any car I’ve owned. Dangerous at times if you needed a quick getaway. Might be the gearbox though?

The opposite is true of my Cayenne, had to learn to go easy on throttle as it always raced off. Certainly not lacking in response, are you sure the Macan wasn’t faulty mate?We had a Macan Diesel and it had the worst throttle response of any car I’ve owned. Had it checked out a few times but they said no fault found.

I was sceptical as it was 'just' a family car.
But bloody hell its good, its quick enough, sounds good enough and actually handles really well for what it is, its very chuckable
the only thing that stops me driving it harder and more often is brake and tyre wear, recently needed all 4 discs and pads and full service, £2770 main dealer as under warranty, ouch! driven like a mad man i dont think they would last long, its a lot of weight to stop.
It is fun, steering response is good, its like a bigger heavier Mitsubishi evo down a b road
