Most Reliable & Cheap to Run Old Sheds for 25k+ miles/yr?

Looking for a 7-12year old shed that's comfy to drive on motorway, costs buttons to run & most importantly can survive being driven 25-30k miles/year.
Looking At the budget the person has,it would most probably be an already 100k+ Mile car, Is there anything like this that could survive another 100-150k miles giving close to 0 problems , doesn't rusts badly & have decent fuel economy?
So far The only stuff what I can think of would be something like Volvo V70 , Skoda Octavia or ultra rare honda accord , was looking at avensis as well as seemed like decent well built car that doesn't rusts until I learned that their engines usually give up right around 120k mark lol.
I'm doubtful anything french/ford or vauxhall can do this & Suspicious of VW/Audis/Bmw giving huge repair bills very often.
that year Subarus seem to have ultra unreliable engines.
What else is left that is Decent and could survive this at that age without giving much trouble?
I have a Jazz that I just add fuel & New oil to it and it keeps going & going with 0 problems for years at crazy high miles costing just pennies ,however that car feels just dangerous on Motorway at 70mph + you get tired after driving it for long.

Exactly the age range of cars I look at with the added criteria of being an Automatic. I keep coming back to these, and checking the MOT history of even high mileage cars reveals very few issues.What are they like on the motorway, for instance what sort of revs would you be pulling around 70MPH?

I have checked those as well, Not sure about the value of Civics, a decent 100k , 2007-2008 civic can be had for right around 1k, almost nothing... The only thing I have seen in their MOT's constantly are leaking shocks.What are they like on the motorway, for instance what sort of revs would you be pulling around 70MPH?

They are quiet and refined, and are doing 60mpg, if you buy one that's had a clutch and DMF there's not a lot that will go wrong with them.However I'm wondering the same thing,how good are they on Motorway at 70mph?

Do they? I had one years ago (petrol 1.8vvti) and took it up to 150k. in the 7 years I had it it just needed a new battery and alternator.A couple of friends of mine have them (a 10-plate and a 15-plate) both diesel. Again (AIUI) they're not known for engine maladies (DMF maladies maybe)
Might be a smidge older than what you're after but cheap now - I did 30k a year in my old Mondeo ST and apart from routine stuff, the only thing that ever went wrong was the alternator. Nice place to sit, lots of toys and seemed to do 55mpg however you drove it. Was the perfect tool for a 120 mile a day round trip commute.
