Dear Forum Members

I am looking at a SKODA KODIAQ 1.4 TSI (150PS) SE since I need a 7 seater. 90% of the year it would be 2 adults and 2 kids but there are occasions where I need 4 adults and 2 kids when family comes over etc.

Would the 150 PS engine struggle with 4 adults and kids when going on trips etc. Like say on a trip to wales would I need towing to pull me up a hilly terrain smile

Need some real practical advice here. No offence taken for frank feedback.

Appreciate your support.

Thanks
Jack

Check the 150PS rather than the 1.4 (assuming you’re fixating on the small engine) or better still find out the max torque for the engine and compare to current or alternate cars.

The 1.4 TFSI 150hp is surprisingly potent in standard form, certainly in smaller models like the A3 / Golf etc. It has 185lb/ft torque as standard and remaps commonly to 170+hp and 220lb/ft.
