Morning All

First time poster in the Biker section - but long time poster in the Aston Martin forum. For the last 6 months I've been having a custom Cafe Racer built - based on a 1991 BMW K100. Decided to go full out with the customisation. She's finally ready and I collected yesterday. Thought I'd share some pics. Initially when I started down this route - I thought it would be very much beautify before capability - but so wrong. She's a dream to ride - handles beautifully and really corners well.

Oh and had to get a custom lid to match smile

Be kind smile

Cheers

Chris.

So long as you love it, that’s the main thing. It’s not for me, tbh, partly because I’m not the biggest fan of such a style of bike, but also I think it could have been executed a little better, sorry. How does it ride, that front end looks like it may be quite ponderous!

The tank Looks a bit odd, big for the rest of the bike. Is it the stock tank? Whilst it’s not easy to change tanks sometimes, it can make the difference in the final version.

Take a look at some of Buzzer’s builds on here to see an example of his work And what he’s done to achieve the exact look and style he wants.

But welcome to biker banter and thanks for posting the pics, always good to see anything with two wheels not 4 on here!

That looks fantastic, fair play. I would love something like this to knock about on local.

Dude - all opinions are welcome. Appreciate it's not for you. It was a particular look I wanted smile

I think its ok for what it is, do you have a big beard and wear chequered shirts? its not my cup of tea at all but looks well made, the seat/tank angle grates with me but its not my bike, you need to lose the black number plate, it isn't the 1960's any more you know smile

Nice.

I planned to do the same with my K100. Sold the bike due to a change of plans.

Still have a set of nice USD forks from a Hypermotard in the loft, must get round to selling those.

very nice bike and show what you can do with a bit of imagination, to a dull flying brick.

It's your bike and as long as you like it, that's all that is important.

Not my thinv though. To me, the back end looks unfinished but the front looks OK.

I like that a lot, OP. Thanks for posting despite knowing there'd be negativity from some quarters.

Nicely done and a bit more to it than many cafe builds.

Good job in getting that dull brick looking good and unique.

It really needs a different / custom tank to finish it, for me.

I used to have a dog eared K100, needless to say it did not look like that! Lovely bike there.

I think the gold forks, shock and blue tank work well together.
What about adding a carbon fender on the back that matches the front?
