Covid 19 - Hospital Visiting + Doctors
Discussion
Is it not time the government and NHS organised some sort of hospital visiting system.
The fitter patients leave the ward and meet their friends/relatives outside, in corridors or in the hospital cafes/restaurants leaving the less able and older patients unable to see family for weeks.
The fact that visiting is allowed in the maternity units suggests tthat it can be organised safely.
Ehile I am wigging here how about giving the consultant a kick up the backside and tell them to get back to work. There is an occasional glimpse of a junior doctor on the wards but no senior doctors in sight, they leave it up to the nurses to report back and they remotely diagnose apparently. Same with home visits, Doctors are sat in the office while nurses come out, take photographs and report back to the Doctors.
