I'm driving down to the Pyrenees in mid-August. All the route planners I can find are suggesting the quickest way is to go through Paris.

I've not done the drive before, so, is that the best route, especially as I'd be hitting Paris at about 9/10 in the morning?

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

This will be the quickest route, but not the best. How long have you got? The more time you have, the bigger the deviation you can achieve

Sadly, I've only got a couple of days to get down there , so I need the quickest route...

Nah! No need for that, A26 - A5 - A7 down through Dijon. You'll go no-where near Paris.

(Edit) 'spose it depends on which part though, west or east pyrenees, but Dijon - Lyon route is still quick.
