...at the end of their Lease.

I clocked the form on the hub the other day about making them an offer, so was curious to see how competitve they might be when the time comes. Some real world experience would be useful.

I looked at buying my current leased car from Alphabet, but the price they wanted had increased 40% since they first quoted me 2-3 months ago

At least ask Lex for a quote and see what they say. If it’s steep, you can walk away.

I was at the end of my 24 month term.

The initial 17k quote to purchase was only valid for 28 days until the end of July. I opted to extend the lease instead.

When I requoted a couple of weeks ago, cost to purchase was up to 24k.

There was no option to use the earlier quote, and when I questioned the rise, I was told the market has improved and so the car is worth more. I expected a cost rise, but not so much!

Unprecedented market conditions mind.

Was the 17k competitive compared to what forecourt prices were at the time?
