Everyday all rounder....

Hi guys, this is a bit of a new problem for myself! Usually im very clear about what my next car should be.... however im stumped and here's why.

My personal scenario is, my "toy" car (E92 M3) may go in a few weeks which i have hardly used over last two years. (2k miles ish). I currently trundle around in an older 58plate E320CDI merc. has been great to save money.


However im now at a position where i would like to get a "better" everyday car and this must follow the lines of Estate, (able to tow a caravan) and fun/comfy/mod tech. Then save a bit more for a 911 in the garage. My mileage was usually 13k per year pre COVID. I was thinking S4 Avant and save bit more to get a 911 something around 08 plate. (never had a 911 and got itch but may be impractical)

Or i just go all out and get one good car that does everything.... (might have gone mad at 2018 RS4, however reading cant put a tow bar on the back). This would enable more use and something i was not getting time for the toy car as i have two young kids (2/5 years old).


What do you think that's out there and should be put on my short list?

If you’ve got the money, I’d say go for the RS4. Worst case scenario, if you don’t like it, sell it and get an S4 or 330i touring instead, with some money left in the bank towards the 911.

The thing is will you use the 911 or will it just sit there? Personally I'd go for the RS4/C63 you'll use it/enjoy more of the time.
