Given your non-committal comment, which side of the coin are you on?

And non-crimes like this is why the CPS has an enormous backlog of cases
Rather worryingly, this is the top rated comment. Ok, it is the DM, but stillAlso like this from the police

This required a painstaking investigation by my lead officer, who paid meticulous attention to minor details in order to gather the vital evidence that led to this successful result.
Checks pubs ordering system, see who has ordered banana to table 102...... Job jobbed?johnboy1975 said:

.A stupid, insensitive and extremely offensive 'joke' to play on a complete stranger, and I'm pleased he's been pulled up on it.
However:
'Media consultant Mr D'arcy-Smith has been left shaken by the degrading episode on the night of November 8 last year - and said the first time he passed the pub afterwards he spontaneously started trembling.'
Really? Does he really expect anyone to believe he is reduced to trembling at the mere memory of being sent a banana? Perhaps I'm blinded by my privileged white upbringing, but compared to black unarmed civilians being shot and killed across the pond, this is not quite the same league in terms of emotional trauma, yet is being portrayed as though it is.

I think you're doing that thing where people think everything the Daily Mail writes is always entirely accurate. However:

I can see some people getting really upset by it, I'd be more annoyed, but its a pretty grim thing to doHowever:

The kind of t
t that does these racist pranks has probably been doing it most of his life, so its good that its caught up with himThe bloke claims he meant to order the banana to his own table...
Last time i was i weatherspoons the table number on the metal disk was different to the one written down on the contract tracing plastic sticker. I had to go and confirm with the staff after i ordered.
I think he is probably an obnoxious bully who was picking on someone as he is too weak to act like a man and get on with his own business. But i cant see how they proved he did it on purpose to the poinf of having no doubt.

reasonable doubt. Last time i was i weatherspoons the table number on the metal disk was different to the one written down on the contract tracing plastic sticker. I had to go and confirm with the staff after i ordered.

He admits doing it, and says it was a joke. So where's the 'joke' if he intended to order it to his own table.
Bang to rights.
