My Dutton Melos is tax exempt as it's based on a 1971 Escort.
How many changes can I make before it stops being tax exempt and has to be re-registered? Specifically, what if I put a new engine in it? Would it have to go on a Q plate or something?
No, just tell DVLA the new engine number and capacity.
