Need to get some stuff translated into a couple of SE Asian languages.
A serious question - would Google Translate not work?Any recommendations?

Is it Translation for contract or other business, or just to understand some general letters?

Of course, it is context dependant, but it depends on the use, if it's a translation of a general letter then I'd use Google myself, you can even scan the document on your phone with the Translate App.
But if it's anything Legal / Money related then of course it would be prudent to pay for the appropriate services.

If (as I have) you need to translate text into different languages that you hope will motivate a change in behaviour, you have to understand the nuances of certain languages; knowing that some words have different meaning and resonance depending on where in the country it will be read and by whom. Google is good but has yet to master colloquialisms, cultural and regional differences of the same language.
If you want to see what something in another language says, use Google. But if you want to engage professionally with someone in a different language, you need the services of a professional translation service and those who speak the language.
Accueast is definitely worth a look, I've met one of their clients and they spoke very highly of them:
