So a product we have a short exclusive is blowing up a little in euro, but ideally I dont want to accept credit cards as a payment from the likes of Germany, Sweden and Ireland to protect me.

Selling via Shopify, am I just being paranoid or should I look at something like Escrow to offer a little protection to the customer as well as me.

What is the PH collective thought.

Shipped value currently £1500 to £3000 per customer.

I’d be concerned as well, mainly for Germany as they can be difficult to deliver to, quickly leading to a chargeback potential.

I don’t have an answer other than all orders over £x product a pro forma invoice to enable a bank transfer. Will probably lose you sales but you reduce the possibility of chargeback.

I use Escrow for high value transactions. There's a fee to set it up, then there are transaction fees. Beware the fake Escrow firms who scarper with the money.

Thanks Al.

I'll pass all fees on to the buyers, if they want the security, they have to pay for it.

Values are for £3k each, so would you have any recommendations for UK based services.

As long as you require 3D Secure then it should be safe enough, no?
