I made the fatal mistake of using this utter junk on my car and now its left a similar effect to having tree sap all over the car. Have washed it and jetted it but it will not come off. Is there an non abrasive way to get it off or a decontamination spray I can Buy? Il go back to Autoglym in future.

Maybe something like a trafic and road film remover or a tar and sap remover? These tend to be more aggressive I think and might have a better chance of getting the coating off.

I have to agree that in my amateur experience, Autoglym is a very good option for the DIYer.

I used their iron oxide cleaner which has got a lot of it off but still have a tree sap like substance on. If I used some autoglym polish on a DA polisher would I likely scratch the car?

I’d try a tar type remover first, Autoglym do one, another good one is autosmart tardis.
I’ve seen wd40 mentioned before but not tried it personally.

Diluted isopropanol is good for cleaning wax etc off car bodywork.
