Hi everyone , my very first post !

I have a London Taxi TX4 with a vm motori engine. The radiator is the type that cools the automatic gearbox fluid and AC and isnt made any longer. The oil cooler part of the radiator is leaking oil. Can anyone help please as no one will repair the rad and having real difficulty finding the solution. Many thanks

Add an external oil cooler, and plug the radiator. Why are you having no luck getting the rad repaired? Is it something that an old school rad repairers can’t fix( I’d be surprised!)

get a garage to disconnect the original pipes and fit a separate units.

1. Either fit an aftermarket cooler like this.

or
2. A big OEM cooler from a larger vehicle.

I have never done it myself, but I would suggest asking advice from a small established automatic gearbox specialist, for approximate sizing on your vehicle..

This actually says ts a cooler for a Tx4. It looks to be a separate unit. Maybe a different year to yours.

And this is a new rad for one.(No integral cooler?).
