The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève shortlisted watches are listed in the link below. There are some unbelievable pieces from some of the usual suspects and a few brands I have never heard of.

Enjoy: https://www.watchtime.com/wristwatch-industry-news...

This one in particular - https://gphg.org/horlogerie/en/watches/altiplano-u... - is amazing. A 2mm thin mechanical watch but CHF410,000.

There are some 'interesting' designs there, but I found myself gravitating towards the Kurono Tokyo watches. Simple, elegant and affordable. Unfortunately they are completely sold out, so I have to go to the secondary market...

Fully domed crystals, covering an angled display seem to be in this year.

Very few I would rush out to buy, though the Behrens Rotary is quite appealing.

There are some amazing watches there. I love complications in watches...the Theo Auffret Tourbillion in Paris looks especially beautiful to me.

What I love most of all is that in an age where everything is becoming digital, there is still an industry that creates these amazing mechanical works of art...I may not like all of them, but I am really glad that they exist smile

I thought the same. First Kurono chrono I’ve ever seen.

Interesting. Thanks for posting.

As much as I love watches, 98% of those are of absolutely no interest to me whatsoever, and I would never wear them.

Almost all my watches are stainless steel dive models... I'm just a simple man and clearly have no delusions of grandeur rofl

Yeah but still fun to switch off and consider them as objects without your usual biases. The Piaget one as mentioned above is incredible.
