Interesting that no-one " talked " like a pirate till Robert Newton's portrayal of
LJ Silver in the 1950 Disney version of Treasure Island.

His characterisation is the accepted industry standard ratified by the Pirates Guild and affiliated Union of Buccaneers/Corsairs
