Golf mk7 cloudy xenons
Discussion
2015 golf with xenon lights (not adaptive).
The projector lens is cloudy and the light output is awful. I’ve had the headlight assembly out and cleaned, best I can, the inside of the projector lens. Looking at the lens it’s ‘dirty’ on the outside - if I could get to it I could clean it I reckon!
Has anybody ever dismantled a xenon headlight - can I remove the projector lens and clean it (or maybe even replace it if it can’t be cleaned?)
Alternatively, can I remove the glass from the headlight to get to the projector - I believe the ‘old oven trick’ won’t work on the mk7 as it’s glued and stapled.
Any advice?
Don’t really want to spend 6-700 on new ones or 4-500 on second hand ones!
