992 Oil level display
Discussion
Can anyone help me with how to display the oil level on my 992?
I've searched through the PCM with no joy. The printed manual is also equally useless. It gives instructions and lots of pictures telling me to access sections which simply don't exist on my PCM.
I've tried driving the car to get up to operating temperature then leaving for more than one minute as the manual instructs - still nothing.
Apologies if I'm being really stupid here but for the life of me I can't see how I access this information. Any simple step-by-step instructions much appreciated, thanks

Does it need the engine running and the oil up to temperature being making a reading?
If 992 is same as 991 I coincidently did mine today from cold with ignition on. My Cayenne is the same I think. My 997 would do it automatically after refuelling. You sometimes had to wait for seconds to countdown while it check level. Cant see a problem with not having a dipstick. Especially when engine is hidden as in 911 and Boxster.

These electronic dipsticks are a royal PITA.
I find it less effort than having to do it manually to be honest!A few button clicks rather than opening the bonnet, getting out, finding a tissue, checking the level, putting the dipstick back, finding somewhere to throw away the oily tissue...
Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately still no success finding the oil level. RHS instrument display doesn’t show the info, Neither does the Porsche Connect app (only fuel, doors locked, etc.). No way of finding it in the PCM, or any info on service due dates, etc. It’s like there’s a whole section missing from the PCM in my car!
Anyway, it’s going to the dealer today so I’m intrigued to find out what the problem is......

On the Porsche Connect app (iOS version), scroll down and there's a oil level 'graph', along with service intervals etc..
On the car, scroll RHS screen to Vehicle General page (one with fuel etc.), then press the scroll-wheel in, which displays a menu, one of which is Oil Level. It then shows a nice little picture.

As mentioned above,
When on the "Vehicle General" display on the right hand display, press the wheel to get to the menu as per this video.

I just did it with a totally cold engine too and it worked.
