We're at the halfway point now so who do you think is going to win? Will Dovi take it? Will Fabio find the form to win it? Will Marquez think he's given them enough of a head start to come back and clinch it?

Hmm... missed my own prediction tongue out Mir

Cant see Dovi doing it, him and ducati just look too far off the pace.

Add in a sprinkling of in-fighting and it doesnt feel like a championship winning package

Mir is certainly a dark horse for it alright, but it feels like the others will need to keep on tripping over each other for him to take the crown.

Ironically both things they need to sort out.

Here, Mir he's the form man when it comes to results. 2nd, 4th, 3rd, 2nd.

Ooh, it’s going to be a close one this. I honestly think Marc probably still has a solid chance of clinching it, wouldn’t that be absurd lol!

Mir is solid. He’s doing everything right, using his head and keeping his cool. He’d be even higher if a couple of races ago they’d given Pol the same treatment they gave Quartararo just now!

I feel so frustrated for Dovi, I’ve wanted him to pick up a championship for a while now, he’s had such a good chance this year and yet it’s just not working for him.

Maverick is a good shout, he showed a good improvement this time on his usual first laps flop and fought back, good on him.

Others show speed but are they just burning up their tyres with good 3/4 race pace, leaving nothing for the end.

I cannot see Mav getting it and I think Fabio will fizzle out. Realy its Dovi's to lose.

I want Dovi to win it but the way the season is going I don't think I could confidently pick someone who is going to be in the top six let alone winning the title!

Despite him leading the championship I really can't see Dovi doing it. I reckon Fabio will do it fairly unconvincingly, and Marquez will pick up a shedload of points as soon as he comes back

It's likely the winner will come from the current top four and the most consistent right now is Mir: if it wasn't for Lecuona's close attention at Brno Mir would be leading the championship already. Dovi doesn't appear to be making progress with the tyre and the Yam performances have been patchy.

But on current forms if Marquez returns at Le Mans he could take a stunning championship victory.

IIRC, they said this weekend that the points left made that unlikely ?

That's only 6 races though isn't it until end of season?

150 points max. He's already 84 behind (plus this coming weekends points) Too far even for him I think.

Yeah it's tight: four rounds at Aragon and Valencia are likely 100 points for MM93, a victory at Le Mans would leave Portimao as the title decider. Dovi is currently leading with 84 points, on current form he would end the year with 168. But, a returning Marquez would push everyone else's average down, probably. Big ask but would you bet against Marquez winning six in a row?

Fly in the ointment is Mir with his current focus on podiums: even if Marquez won all seven remaining rounds Mir could still beat him.

I think Marquez clinching it is pretty impossible with the deficit he has and the points available.

It's fairly bizarre that the only consistent rider is Joan Mir. But the suzuki appears to be the most consistent.

I'm sure I've said it but Marquez is/was in a league of his own. Wins and podiums every race, made more impressive because he's on a Honda. Whereas the others seem to do the odd podium/win and then a top ten.

I'd be happy if Dovi or Quattararo wins

It’s an absolute belter of a season.
I would have to say Mir with his current pace and confidence looks like he could bag himself the crown.

I have no idea, really, but its more of a 'who wont'

Rabat

Marquez
Rins
A Espargaro

When you look at who is still yet to win a race that should have already , which is Miller, Dovi, , with Mir and Espargaro having been within a hair , and still might, the points spread that we are seeing race by race means there is real chance we have 5 or 6 guys going into the last race with a legitimate shot , not just a mathematical one.
