Seeing as I took some stick (rightly, in hindsight) for posting F2 results in the F1 thread a few weeks back, though it only right and proper that I start one of the support race threads.

F2 only in Sochi (F3 done and dusted).

https://www.fiaformula2.com/Results?raceid=1024

Here's hoping Illot can get back on track and settle down to two very solid race results.

It seems that even on a relatively long and open circuit, we'll be back in "slow, queue, slow, queue, whine about people in front" qualifying again.

Doesn't bode well....

At least with F2 we don’t know who’ll win the races two days before. This could be where the action is this weekend.

Remember, no F3 races this weekend + time differences mean F2 feature race @ 8.05 tomorrow morning.

Here we go for the Feature Race in Sochi.

Edit: with the usual pileup into the first corner!

Interesting that there’s lots of tyre management going on, on the dusty track.

F1 have the three softest compounds available for the first time this year.

What would an F2 race be, without Dan Tantrum being called to see the stewards?

The title is Mick’s to lose now. Alfa Romeo seat in F1 beckons for next year?

Not a huge Schumacher fan, but it's been a pretty effective race he's driven today.

I'd rather have seen his & Illott's positions reversed, but Mick's been better today.

0.025 between Ilott and Ghiotto for the final podium place!

Same but fairs fair. He's under championship pressure but drove well and executed the perfect switchback overtake.

Textbook.

I was going to say how the hell did they all get round that first corner three abreast, but then one at the back went around.

How the hell did they both walk away from that, looked awful in real time.
