Spark plug number 3
Discussion
Afternoon
I have a 1993 Merc with an M103 engine.
New leads and plugs last year.
If you leave it for two weeks it is really reluctant to start, turns over and has spark but won’t fire. After a painful 10mins it will start to cough.
I started checking spark, 1 and 2 were fine but smelt heavily of fuel I removed 3 and turned it over and it started !! Screwed or back in and it was good to go running smoothly. This weekend I didn’t even bother with 1 and 2 just removed 3 turned the key and away it went. Plug back in and it started and was good the rest of the day.
Is there something a miss with perhaps the lead or plug or even the cylinder on number 3 or is there another fault and this is pure coincidence?
Thanks
