Anyone got an Orange O Bass?
Discussion
I've recently been given a Les Paul copy guitar and briefly considered learning to play it. The thing is, when listening to music, I'm drawn to the bass and have been keen to learn to play the bass for years. Favourite players include Tim Commerford (Rage Against The Machine), Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys) and Chris Chaney (Janes Addiction).
I have been looking online (though fully intend to visit shops nearer purchase time) and I'm drawn to a new Orange O bass. Does anyone have any experience of this guitar and thought's of whether it would be suitable for a complete novice?
I could buy a second hand bass but having been given a guitar for free (along with amp, etc) I can either trade it in for the bass or stick it on eBay and get a bit of cash back to put towards it. Also, I have seen second hand "O" bass' on eBay for not much less than a new one.
What other bass guitars around this price (£300) should I be considering?
