What monitor for Xbox series x

I've currently got a Asus vp28uqg which is 4k but not her, and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading for the new Xbox , doing a bit of research it looks like a hdmi 2.1 monitor will make full use , but are going to be expensive, wondering if I'm wastingy time upgrading the monitor now?

Depends how rich you are.
You have 4k. Games still look bloody good in plain ole 4k.
After the first half hour, you wont notice any difference and will be concentrating on the game.
If you can buy whatever you want, just get one.

Not enough hdmi2.1 monitors to make a sensible decision in my mind and for monitors i'd rather see them in flesh , as i've seen some that review well but i just don't like.

The ones im seeing reviewed at the moment - all seem to be early models with the likes of ASUS having other models in the pipeline.
