Speed Awareness Course - Any Recommendations?

Yeah, I've got one to do. Fair cop guv, no excuses.
So, couple of quick questions,
- Are the providers offering this over Skype\Zoom\Whatever at the moment?
- I was speeding, and know I'll have to endure some level of preaching, but I'd rather not spend 2+ hours being utterly patronised if at all possible, I'm even happy to learn something
Anyone know of a provider that doesn't have adenoids?

The biggest thing you will learn is how many people don't care about driving and see it as a chore. The other thing is how many people are unaware of the rules we need to at least look like we are complying to. Do the course without an attitude and it will be easier for you and all involved, if you can't pay the fine and take the points.
If you have a clean licence then you may wish to simply pay a £100 fixed penalty and have your licence endorsed with 3 points. Your annual motor insurance premium may increase, decrease or stay the same thereafter.
Save the course option for a subsequent offence. There’s a pub myth that a clean licence is required to complete a course. It isn’t.
If people did the aforementioned in significant numbers then their business model would fail.

Perhaps the partnerships would be less keen to fund enforcement activities if their budgets weren't replete. Maybe we would get better speed management than banging a van on a layby, staffed with second job coppers, and public sector parasites. Maybe we could use the money going into central government rather than the partnerships to fund roads policing. Maybe pitmansboots would be out of a job?

My problem with it is that it isn't letting you off minor offences it effectively created a new lesser offence.IE previously you were generally let off at the speeds you now do a speed awareness course.

Totally agree. Go with a learning attitude and you will pick something up. But yes, it will astound you how little some people know about driving. If you have never done any further driver training after getting your license then you will learn something.
It's more expensive than the points, but not as bad as you would expect. Even if all it does is teach all the 45 everywhere brigade what the actual speed limits are, it would serve a purpose.
