997.1 C2 manual start problem
Discussion
Hello folks
My car has been giving me problems for several years but this specific problem is not troubling me day to day so I haven't had it addressed
Car starts first time, every time. No problem. Even after not using it for a couple of weeks. However, if I stop the engine and want to immediately restart, it turns over many many times before finally starting. If I try a third time, it won't start. I then have to give it a 20 minute break and it'll start again.
On a day to day basis, it doesn't affect me really. I can use it to go local shopping, park, come back to car and it'll start first time. If I come back to soon, it'll turn over a lot and then start. If I make two quick stops, it just won't start. That has only happened once where I've been stranded for twenty mins.
I usually have tyres changed at Costco which is a problem because I'll park my car and book it in. They then move the car. Change tyres and move it back. That's three engine starts including the one I did to get to Costco. If they complete their work too quickly, it won't start. They've never said it didn't start but I'm dreading that call.
I don't think it's the battery because the problem persisted when I had the battery changed.
Any ideas?
