Looking at the MoT history, it appears it was displaying in kilometres in 2009. Hence the discrepancy of it having 30k miles in 2008, 59,803 (km) [which is about 37k miles] in 2009 and 42k in July 2010.

Bizarrely, it had another MoT one day later on 29/07/10 with 26,804 miles displayed (?). I'd say there's a database error or the wrong car was entered. It passed an MoT with no advisories on 28/07/10 so why do another test the next day.

The mileage at MoT test in July 2011 is 43,781 and it continues upwards from there. 54k miles is very likely genuine but those anomalies in the MoT history will undoubtedly put some people off.
