How many Chim 500's are there out there ?

Dear All

The bible gives an indication as to overall production runs for the Chim - any of you learned people know how many full fat 5Ltr versions where made ?

Not sure on actual numbers ,but they built more Griffith 500 than Chimaera 500.

Making the Chim the real rarity .

Somebody with plenty of time on their hands did investigate the number of 5L Chimaera's originally manufactured a while back. I can't just remember exactly how many he came up with but it was somewhere between 500 and 600. Guess most of the 5L engines went into the Griffs. However, since they stopped making them, the usual 'losses' mean there are sadly less each year now.
