Looking at refreshing the springs on my Cerb.. Running Nitrons.

Does anyone know the free length? I have a feeling it is 10"?

Are they the same length front and rear, just one set are screwed down more?

I didn't measure when I took mine off, just measured where there were adjusted to and gave them to Nitron for a rebuild, and new springs.

bit more obvious when on...

I think I paid £62 a spring from them

Spring itself is the same length.

Just need to know the length of the spring. Save me getting under the car again. I measured them once, but can't remember 100%.

The powder coating on their springs isn’t all that.

I snapped a rear (running over a badger!) poking about looking at that ended up in the full rebuild. So I got the front springs re-powder coated with the rest of the chassis bits & put new springs on the back. It was 5 or so years ago now but it’s had very little use, never on salty roads & has been washed down underneath a good few times. Those new springs look like the ones in the picture at the top now. The original ones I had re powder coated are in much better condition.

The ones at the top were 13 years old - not too bad for a car used all the time.
The shocks when returned from servicing and new springs still looked like new. I was impressed with that.
