Hi All,

I've got a PTS car with Porsche colour code LC9X which is 'Deep Black Pearl'. Allegedly, its the only 991.1RS painted this colour.

Porsche UK can't supply a touch-up pen given its PTS and a one-off colour.

Appreciate any recommendations as to who to go to for a simple touch-up stick that will match the above porsche colour code ?

Thanks

My car is PTS and while not Deep Black Pearl, I have the same 'challenge'. You can get a bodyshop to mix it up but you may find the formulation will require a minimum quantity. It's why I PPF'd my entire car knowing that touch ups would be a pain later.

I can put you in touch with a good body shop who I trust if you want to DM me. They can give better advice and an indication of costs/quantities but I would brace myself for paying for a lot more than you need.

Thanks - I have full PPF, but being sods law, I got a minor stone chip right on the very edge. So only need a tiny amount.

I just remembered, I picked up a paint pen for a previous car I had in PTS and checked my bookmarks and it was Type 911 Shop. Here's the link:

Look for C9X on the drop down, should be what you want.

Do yourself a favour and get a kit from Chipex, they will mix to the code and you'll get their kit so you can blend the stonechip in rather than a blob of paint!

Had to do the same with my Individual M3 which is in Audi Nardo Grey - and I couldn't be bothered with the Audi dealership who would have been asking "What's your VIN number"....

https://www.chipex.co.uk/kit-select/

Also worth getting is Loew-Cornell Fine Line Painting Pen

Most PTS colours are not truly PTS - they are existing colours either from Porsche or other car manufacturers. LC9X is a Volkswagen code so a VW dealer or parts supplier like TPS might be able to help you or just search for the code online. Example below

Thanks, but that's for Jet Black.
