15k car for the grandparents

Looking to spend about 15k on a car for the parents so they can take the grandkids out etc.

So far have narrowed down to two options
2015 Volvo XC60
2016 Vw Tiguan


Any thoughts on the above? Any options worth going for?

Have a look at the QX50 if you can find one or the earlier EX they're hard to look past & your grand parents save 6k whilst still getting a 2014 car.

You could get a Lexus RX or the smaller NX 300h, about the size of a tiguan.

So the Infiniti look like good options but exterior seems dated.

Currently researching specs and options for XC60’s as there’s loads of diff versions and options including built in booster seats and the likes

Similar to your choices is a BMW X3 or newer X1.

When you say big enough to take grand kids out, how many kids are we talking?

My in laws have a Renault Captur which they bought new when my Son was born. They've always taken him out places and the Captur was plenty big enough for the travel system when he was very little. Absolutely fine now he's almost 5 so needs very little stuff on days out. We only have the one child, but I can't see that two would make much difference unless it were two new norms perhaps.

If they went for a supermini based SUV like a Captur or Pug 2008 or Cactus etc. They would get a much newer car for their money.
