Hi, I have Dell Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

The adapter I was using doesn't seem to work now (tried on three laptos /YouTube for drivers etc but no luck) .

Can I buy any USB Bluetooth adapter or do I have to get Dell one? My laptop has built on Bluetooth but I can't seem to be able to connect it to the keyboard and mouse..

Are you 100% certain the keyboard and mouse are bluetooth?

Hi, yes they are Bluetooth. I used it with the now "broken" Bluetooth adapter for 6 months before it suddenly stopped working.

If you have an Android phone or tablet (can't advise on iOS) see if you can connect to the devices using bluetooth on your phone/tablet.

If the phone/tablet can see the devices, then the devices are OK and you can just buy a USB Bluetooth Adaptor from Amazon, such as this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-LINK-UB4A-Bluetooth-Co...

Get a nano one, you'll hardly notice it.
