Why is it terrible? Westwood (a given 'terrible' surely?) How 'terribly' chavtastic it is? Just plain poop TV? Or is it on the scale of 'hey I have an idea, let's call speed cameras safety cameras and everything will be ok' terrible?

Its just finished, it was on MTV UK.

Why is it so bad?

Westwood (trying to be black), a complete lack of enthusuasm, trying to replicate the USA version with English "characters" and the general absence of the "Hollywood" Glam which made the USA version more appealing to people.

all of that, and its just so embarrassing to watch!

If you were to make a TV programme which held all of Westwoods traits and personality features, this would be it.

Even after the first 5 minutes of watching, I came over to the computer but still cringe horribly every 5 seconds when somebody says something!

I knew it would be bad, but didn't think it was going to be absolute Crap!

P.s I was only watching because I was waiting for Footballers Cribs...its true...honestly

Why o why British tv has gone done the crappiest of crap chutes is beyond me.

Tired of these idiots simply taking an show from somewhere else and forcing it on the British public. It was never, ever going to work because the whole "pimp my ride" thing is very much an Amercian thing. The host and everyone else make the show barely watchable because they are over the top and, well, Yanks.

Exactly like when someone had the brillian idea of making the American version of The Office Hmm, that was always going to work. Nobs the lot of them.

Actually I think the car looked great and the workmanship on the car was excellent.

Personally having met Tim on the Set of this Show I found him to be a really humble and decent guy and I thought he acted extremely professionally when shooting the episode.
I for one wish him all the best for the show as with all the team.

The Car in the first show involved a lot of work and cost and while it may not be to everyone's taste - I thought it was a good advert for the team involved and the show.

Well done Tim , Well done Pimp My Ride / Jamie etc... and I for one enjoyed the show.
Granted some of the guys looked a little nervous on camera but the show and the car deserved a 10/10 for design / effort / passion / production etc.

Good Luck to Tomek /Tim / Jamie and the rest of the Crew for the series.
Remember you cannot please all the people all the time.

If you dont like it turn off ! go watch BBC 1

I understand where you are comming from but..
They are doing their best.
I thought the car looked great (consider their age / finances / image etc)
We all cannot aspire to Ferrari's / Maserati's / TVR'r etc.
I remember the car I had when 17 (uno 45!! (no funnies please !!!)- It was the best I could imagine until I bought my Merc 2.6.
If someone offered to upgrade the car for me for free I would have been well happy !

There are a lot of people on the show who gave their best but granted they are not camera able so to speak. And some of the camera angles didnt do certain people justice (if you get my point !)

But... the workmanship is excellent on the car and the show is new so give it time guys...

Problem is that you cannot copy the USA - Look at the R & B Music we make that breaks the USA !!!
We cannot copy R & B no matter what anyone says...
Who has broken the USA with an Urban Act .
I may be wrong but Jay kay (who is excellent IMO) struggles to break the USA (Which I Dont understand !) If he cant make it there who can ????

Pimp my ride is a formula which the guys are trying to make work in the UK.
Give them time.
Tim is a nice guy and a logical choice considering his Urban Image and history but to be honest I get the feeling that if other celebs were contacted to do the show , then what are the fee's for presenting such a show ?? Too High maybe ??? Opinions on who should present ?

Exactly, so why are we trying to copy the USA? why not put a bit more dosh into existing stuff like that one where Ed China fettles old classics, or even better Mark Evans presents a show that builds BRITISH customs. TW is despised because he is a white bloke from Bristol trying to be a black guy from the Bronx, who needs it?
The Moggy was an eyesore with absolutely no respect or consideration for it's roots, something that Foose would have researched and got right, hell anyone here would have got right.

edited to add, I know Foose does 'overhaulin' which is also cringingly embarassing but produces some seriously fit cars.

You appear to be in the business, what role do you fill?
