Hi all, I’ve just removed and replaced the door cards, and even without arms like Arnie, it’s still painful and awkward.
In the event I have to do this again, I was wondering if it’s possible to remove the window motor with the door card in situ(?).
This would greatly improve access inside the door, and reduce the amount of claret left inside it.
There are of course a few bolts, but I didn’t want to go undoing something I shouldn’t.

Many thanks

Yes you can remove the motor through the speaker hole. I struggled with the passenger side because some one had used a coach bolt instead of an allen bolt. The motor has a vertical bolt on either side & the motor base 2 bolts at 90 deg to the door card.

That’s brilliant- thanks.

Do I take it that I have to remove all four bolts, or can I leave the ‘base’ bolts in situ?

Yes. The motor is held on by Torx bolts or allen head bolts. Unplug the wires & the motor just lifts out.
