This is a long shot.

I don’t suppose anyone has a Western Digital hard drive knocking about unused, with a 2060 771698 004 PCB on it that I could possible acquire? IIRC it’s from a 2TB disc.

The PCB is dead on mine (doesn’t power on) and I could do with at least trying to get the data off the drive.

Thanks.

You can just strip the OBC off the drive and put it into a usb dock to get the data off.

That’s what I did when mine failed.

I thought the PCB had to be in place to use a HD dock?

The main board does indeed need to be place, it controls the heads and motor.

I think someone misunderstood your post.

It might be worth looking on Ebay for a 'parts' drive, emailing the vendor and checking for the correct board.
