Multi-display adapter for Macbook/Widows laptop

[zax]

I spend a lot of time hunched over various laptops at home nowadays, it's time to get more comfortable!

I'm looking for a multi display adapter box that will allow me to hook up two monitors, a keyboard and a mouse (optional, I have a few wireless mice) to a 2018 Macbook pro (the one with 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports). I would also like the same box to do the same thing for a typical Windows laptop WITHOUT USB-C ports (or indeed older Macs!). Is there such a device? Getting pretty confused with all of the choices, wondered if anyone else here does similar?

I'm dong a lot of testing work so need to use multiple devices on different platforms...

I'm about to start a new role, and they've provided me with a Mac (my first ever...). Only has 2x USB C ports (WTaF?!) - work have suggested a device from https://www.hypershop.com/ (can get it on Amazon)
