Any recommendations on vendors and the cost involved to respray the front bonnet and wing on the DBS , .......after the high winds we just experienced over the weekend , got a call from the wife that a glazed window removed from our shed blew out off the trailer and smashed against the left wing / bonnet of the Aston , car is painted in Quantum silver ... in Hampshire region

guessing this would not be covered under building / accident home insurance ?

looks a real mess

thanks

Might be worth a punt. I assume that you had removed the window and it was on your trailer and there wasn't a tradesman involved?

I had a tile fall onto the bonnet of my DB7. I don't think that it would be cost effective to claim on my house insurance as the premium uplift over the next few years will likely be more than the cost of the repainting. Luckily early DB7 bonnets were made from a composite material so the tile bounced off the bonnet only damaging the paint/topcoat.

yes, unfortunately helping an old lady out by removing her shed , trailer was loaded all ready to go to the tip ..........i'd actually moved the Aston to a safer place , then moved it back when i needed to access the garage , the front head light is scratched as is the bonnet / wing in many places

never made a claim on insurance ever ....guessing why my insurance is only £600 for the Aston ... reading previous posts front end respray £1200 ? i'm assuming quantum silver ls easier to apply than a special paint with flecks in

Try JC Autobody in Dogmersfield. Specialises in classic and prestige paintwork. Did my DB9 and was better than new. He is the guy that flared my wings to install the DBS bumpers.
