But chickens can't fly - how did it get up to windscreen height - trampolining?

Reminds me of the story of the Belgians checking the impact resistance of their trains, so they borrowed the launching mechanism and the impact test procedure used by a jet engine manufacturer, who would lob speedy (dead) chickens through the engines to prove birdstrike resistance. The belgians had problems with the chickens punching a hole straight through the drivers cab, until someone pointed out that they were supposed to defrost them first...

Christ. Are you sure it wasn't frozen!

Going to take some cleaning up, that. I reckon the wool carpet trim will have to be replaced. Leather should clean up OK I'd have thought....maybe.

Blurgh!

Isn't it a pheasant? That would explain height off ground.

Nobody has mantioned that the interior looks

fowl

actually they can fly sort of, and very briefly, if the incentive is right (if youve ever seen a chicken running from a fox they can achieve 8-10ft briefly). in this case the incentive was surely to catch a glimpse of the creature making that wonderful mid-engined roar....

Recall hearing/reading about some RAF pilots in WW2 who tried to solve a bet about whether chickens could fly by taking a couple up to several thousand feet and chucking them out of the cockpit. Maybe this chicken had suffered a similar fate and was still on the way down when it got boxsterised?

Goddarnit - if you can't beat 'em join 'em!

Would have been more appropriate if it had happened to a Seat Coop-ra or, it it had to happen to a porker, a Cay-hen.

And you can bet that the Porker driver wasn't feathering the throttle either. He probably had a mate in the passenger seat egging him on.

I hope the driver plucked up enough courage to drive home. Still, looks like he ended up with more than just egg on his face.
